Excursion Etna high altitude at sunset
Walk along the slopes of the Etna volcano
Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation.
Before arriving on Etna, you will stop at an organic farm where you will sample honey, wine, oil and other typical products.
You will then visit a lava cave using helmets and lamps.
Then you will head to Rifugio Sapienza where you will take the cable car and reach the altitude of 2500 meters. You will continue from here with 4x4 minibus and reach Torre del Filosofo at 2900 meters. You will find yourself in front of an amazing panorama suspended on the sea, where it will be possible to admire part of the active area of Etna, composed by the Central Crater and the South-East one together with the ancient lava flows that identify the landscape of Etna. With the Alpine Guides, and in total safety, you will finally enjoy a wonderful breath-taking sunset.
You will return to Rifugio Sapienza by 4x4 minibus and cable car.
Return to the hotel.

After crossing the border of the city you will start the ascent towards Etna, crossing some of the characteristic Etnean villages.

Visit of a lava flow cave
After the arrival at Etna Sud station (Rifugio Sapienza), you will board the cable car that will take you up to 2.500mt. After you will continue on special 4x4 vehicles until you reach 2.900mt. Finally, you will enjoy your sunset on Etna.
The tour will end at the pick-up location.
