Etna Valle del bove
Meeting in front of Rifugio sapienza hotel, at 9:00 AM.
After a briefing with an expert volcanologic guide, you will catch the Cablecar going up to an altitude of 2.500 m. From here you will start the trekking that will allow you to see the crater born during the eruption of 2001. There you will find yourself in front of an amazing lunar landscape.
Then you will go to the Valle del Bove panorama, around 2.750 m a.s.l., from this magnificent point of view you can see the cities of Syracuse and Taormina from the top, you will be a stone throw away from the summit Craters with their constant gas and steam leak.
After you will go to a ground depression named Cisternazza and finally go back to 2.500m a.s.l., to catch the cablecar again back to Rifugio Sapienza.
Trekking duration uphill: 2 hours
Trekking duration downhill: 1 hour and a half
