Exclusive Lava Flow Tour with a Volcano Guide
Join us for an exciting excursion to discover the majestic summit craters of Mount Etna and the recently active lava front, in a natural setting of extraordinary beauty.
The tour begins at Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza (1,900 m a.s.l.), on the southern slope of the volcano, north of Nicolosi. From here, you will take the cable car and then an off-road minibus up to an altitude of 2,900 m a.s.l.
Accompanied by a certified alpine or volcanological guide, you will continue on foot toward the highest elevations permitted, depending on current volcanic activity. Along the trail, you'll have the chance to admire the summit craters – Bocca Nuova, Voragine, South-East Crater, and North-East Crater – and observe the ongoing lava flow up close, currently active in the summit area.
An unforgettable hike through breathtaking landscapes, active lava flows, and the deep breath of Etna – perfect for adventure lovers and those drawn to wild nature.
