The excursion begins at 10:00 at Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza and unfolds along one of the most spectacular routes of Europe’s highest active volcano.

Starting from an altitude of 1,900 meters, you will ride through a unique landscape made of ancient craters, recent lava flows and lunar scenery that tells the eruptive history of Mount Etna. Reaching 2,700 meters, our certified guides will lead you to breathtaking panoramic viewpoints, where you can admire the summit craters, the Ionian Sea, and the majestic Valle del Bove — one of the most fascinating natural amphitheaters in the world.

From here, a guided trek with a volcanological guide begins, leading from 2,900 meters up to the summit craters at 3,345 meters above sea level, where you can experience the power and energy of the volcano up close.

The descent follows a fun sandy trail surrounded by stunning scenery, eventually returning to the starting point.

NB: The maximum altitude reached may vary without prior notice depending on current regulations in place at the time of the excursion.
