Meeting time: 10:00 a.m. at 1,900 m a.s.l.
After a short briefing with the volcanological guide, you will take the cable car up to 2,500 meters of altitude.
From here, your ascent begins, a journey to discover the crater of the 2002/2003 eruption, surrounded by a lunar-like landscape of extraordinary beauty.
You will then continue towards the base of the Barbagallo Craters (around 2,800 m), an exceptional panoramic point from which you can admire Taormina, Syracuse, and the Summit Craters, often characterized by a constant emission of gas and steam.
The trek continues toward the most recent lava flows, reaching about 3,000 meters, in the area of the famous “Torre del Filosofo”, where a stop is planned for a light snack.
An unmissable experience for those who wish to witness up close the power and beauty of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe!
